The first female President of the Royal Institute of British Architects said recently that Prince Charles has "abused his position" by attempting to sway planning decisions and used his status to interfere in the "democratic process". Well I for one say thank goodness he has. Someone has to make a stand against the more ridiculous plans and proposals put forward by some architects because they certainly do not listen to the man on the street. They may think their designs are cutting edge and avant-garde but the rest of us do not and unfortunately we have to look at these eyesores for decades. Thankfully the Prince of Wales fights our corner and says plainly what many of us think. Long may he continue to do so.
