Would someone please sack Jay Hunt

Alesha Dixon is a lovely girl but completely useless as a Strictly Come Dancing judge. Too much dumbing down and larking around. Jay Hunt should be sacked for allowing such a successful show to be ruined. It's not too late - sack Jay Hunt, pay off Alesha Dixon and bring back Arlene Phillips. Simple.

The BBC's decision was crass. In essence the X Factor judges need only apply their prejudices as to what is or isn't likely to be a successful (i.e. lucrative) act, a skill which can be honed by years in the business, but yet is not really beyond the average guy in the street. All Strictly Come Dancing judges need to be experienced dancers/choreographers, otherwise SCD just doesn't work. Jay Hunt did not grasp that fundamental point. It will cost too much to pay off Alesha Dixon and Arlene Phillips will have her hands full with the new So you think you can dance? programme. Of course the BBC never admits it has made a mistake, so this current series of Strictly Come Dancing will stagger on until mid December and only next year, following disappointing viewing figures, will they resort to the old four-expert-judges format, but not including Phillips - the new qualified judge will be someone younger, like Karen Hardy.

This woman's salary alone costs the licence fees from approximately 2000 viewers. Add on a gold plated pension and that number rises significantly. As you say, the BBC should sack her, and spend the money saved on making programs that people want to watch.
