A Peerage for Michael Martin - you have got to be kidding

Once again a completely useless member of the Labour Party gets a gong. The worst speaker we have ever had in the House of Commons - Gorbals Mick - is to be elevated to the Lords, with no doubt more perks and a bigger pension. Labour really have no shame. They "reform" piecemeal the House of Lords, shedding many of the hereditary peers but stuffing the upper house full of their placemen. Some reform - Gorbals Mick is absolutely the worst sort of person to be in the Lords.
